Lumbani Phiri is a Malawian Musician, Worship leader, Singer-Song writer, Composer, Arranger, Music Trainer, Music producer, Music Director, Multi-instrumentalist and an entrepreneur.
He came to the public music scenes in 2005 when he became a top 5 finalist in the e-wallet singing competition (Malawi’s version of the Pop Idols) which had contestants from all over the country , Northern , Central and Southern regions of Malawi.
He stayed Capetown, South Africa for about 8 years doing music before he recorded his first 10 track album “Healing Power” at Milestone Studios Capetown, which is yet to be released.
While in Capetown He was Opportuned to have shared stage with South African greats like; S’fiso Ncwane (The late), Joyous Celebration’s Nobathembu and Xolani, And was considered to be an opening act for Benjamin Dube’s concert.
Locally he’s worked with the likes of Grace Chinga (The late), Rudo Chakwera, Chimwemwe Mizaya, Thoko Suya, Ruth Misi just to mention a few.
